I agree with Flarob on the Vinnie/Brecker analogy. Brecker is a composer, writes TONS of great tunes, has MANY recordings out. Has had his own band for years. This in addition to being a sideman. Vinnie isn't really a composer on that level (I think the tunes on his CD are weak) and he hasn't toured years and years as a leader. That's all he's saying. They're both GENIUSES on their instrument obviously, and we're totally nit-picking ona silly analogy so I'm chiming in to stop the silly bickering.
Also, please stop asking others to leave. If someone has a problem with someone else, email me some good reasosn why with links to topics containing said behavior.
Vinnie has his weakness' and some folks tend to ignore that. He's nowhere near the composer Brecker is and I'm sure Vinnie would agree. That's all Flarob is saying.

Yes, true, all that was meant was to equivocate that MB is a great great saxist [innovator, "genious"] as VC is a drummer ["HEY! Just WTH do you mean by, 'genious?'" - argue [img]tongue.gif[/img] ]. Like I said as well as GAMG put it, I thought Flarobs reaction to Tombo's comment was uncalled for. Just over the top nitpicking. And like GAMG (hey?? Gamgee?? Wasn't that a charater in the Hobbit?? [img]wink.gif[/img] said, in something as serious as a thread to wish Michael well. I just thought it lacked total class.

This thread prob should've ended right after leading up to awa including Henry's last one [at 12:11a today, 8/9]...including [read:] Worth's last post [at 2:44p, 8/8], then Flar's, Stv's, & H2's subsequent/last. There was prob no need for further after Henry's. [img]redface.gif[/img]

That's just not cool. People can comment on what they want. Why is it you that always seems to resort to name calling when you can't get your point across? Seriously Joe's....Everytime your back is up against the wall in this debate setting, you get mean. It's obvious to me that happens to people when they are wrong and frustrated so they have to get into that name calling and insulting crap.
Why do you do that? It's not right. You're always the instigator.
